AMA is a Microschool learning center located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee that offers K-6 students an Arts Integrated and STEAM focused learning environment. With our real-world, hands-on and project-based approaches, we are bridging the gap between traditional schooling and home schooling.
We believe that every student deserves a voice in their educational journey, which then allows them the chance to Love to Learn. Our flexible curriculum allows you to choose from our specialized academic offerings or you can bring your own.
At AMA, we focus on academics in the mornings with personalized learning pathways tailored to each students needs and interests. We offer individual support, small group learning, and 1:1 coaching from licensed educators. Afternoons are when students can really hone in on their interests and passions with real-world, hands-on and project-based, enrichment activities.
Personalized Learning Pathways
Learning experiences are guided by each student’s individual strengths and interests, supporting intellectual, emotional, and social development. Small group and 1:1 coaching involves tailoring instruction to each student’s individual needs, allowing for personalized learning, targeted support, and the opportunity for students to progress at their own pace while benefiting from peer interaction and collaborative learning. We do not believe in the traditional school approach of a “one-size-fits-all.” At AMA, students work on their levels and at their own pace with guidance from our certified academic coaches.
Arts Integration and STEAM
STEAM Education is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.
Using STEAM education results in students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. These are the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century!

Our Program
You are your child’s best advocate — and you deserve a partnership in their educational journey. At AMA, we are bridging the gap between traditional schooling and homeschooling by complementing each family with the resources they need, whether it’s a comfortable space to work, regular academic support (group setting or one on one), or facilitating social interactions and hands-on learning. Choose from our part time (3 Day) or full time ( 4 day) programs that best accommodates your schedule. With our open-door attendance policy, you never have to worry about absences or tardy penalties.

What makes us different?
30 Day Happiness Guarantee
We want to ensure that we are a good fit for your family! We offer a one-month happiness Guarantee. Families who provide written notice of program termination within thirty (30) days of initial enrollment and/or start date are waived from their one-semester commitment.

Open Door Attendance Policy
At AMA, we are here to help families bridge the gap between traditional schooling and home schooling. With our Open Door Attendance Policy, your child can attend as much or as little as their enrolled program allows. There are no penalties for missed days or for coming in late.
